This experiment represents the demonstration under the WMO of a regional ensemble source identification system. It is based on the existing global system developed by the CTBTO.

The experiment simulated a stationary release of a chemical contaminant to the atmosphere from a location in the North Sea near the coast of several European countries, over a 48 hour period.
