This is the third and final announcement of the Workshop on Regional Climate Modeling and Minisymposium on Climate Change in Europe which will be held 29 November-3 December 2004 in Prague in framework of Centre of Excellence MAGMA established in Charles University in Prague under 5th FP EC.
The main topic of the workshop is regional climate modeling and climate change in Europe, with emphasis to present and future activities (project PRUDENCE presented by Jens Christensen, ENSEMBLES Chris Hewitt, RegCnet presented by Filippo Giorgi, STARDEX Malcolm Haylock) and cooperation across Europe with strategy of EC support presented by Georgios Amanatidis. Impact studies are welcome as well. While the workshop is open for everybody interested, there are some funds available to cover travel costs and living expenses both for invited speakers and participants from EU and associated countries. The selection will be closed at the end of this week, preference will be given to participants with presentation submitted, so please, would you mind submit the title and abstract via Internet using the registration address http://meop0.troja.mff.cuni.cz/rcmprague
The participation on the workshop is supposed to be free, except lunches and other social and cultural events, for accommodation the block of quite cheap rooms in hotel Krystal is booked. There is open www address for registration: http://meop0.troja.mff.cuni.cz/rcmprague, where you are expected to provide us necessary information for further communication and for planning the meeting. After registration you will have a password for further login, title and abstract of contribution submission and now necessary form for payment procedure. Here you can find enclosed registration and payment form as well, it should be filled in and sent to the address mentioned there. Please, follow the instruction in this form, the deadline for final registration and payment is November, 1, 2004. If you dont like the web based registration, you can send me information by e-mail.
Generally, those participants receiving support are kindly asked to pay their expenses in advance, they will be reimbursed after arrival to Prague up to 350,- EUR against fare tickets and 100,- EUR/day for living expenses.
